    FULL MEMBERS must (i) hold a Master's degree in genetic counselling from a recognized training program of (ii) hold a diploma in an associated field and be certified by the CAGC (or ABMG, AMGC) or eligible to certification by the CAGC. Full members in good standing may attend all meetings of members, vote, be a member of a committee and serve on the Board.

    ASSOCIATE MEMBERS may include (i) other health care professionals or physicians whose interests focus on genetic counselling and (ii) other applicant who are not eligible for full membership. Associate members can be members of a committee but cannot vote or serve on the Board.

    STUDENT MEMBERS are those enrolled in a recognized genetic counselling program. Student members have the same privileges as associate members. (From QAGC by-laws adopted April 2011).
